MegaMan NT Warrior, known as Rockman EXE (ロックマンエグゼ Rokkuman Eguze) in Japan, is a Japanese animated series based on the Mega Man Battle Network series. It is produced by the animation studio Xebec.
The series was originally broadcasted in Japan on TV Tokyo in March 2002. In the middle of 2003, the series localized by Viz Media and was originally premiered on Kids' WB in the United States.
The series consist of five following seasons: EXE, Axess, Stream, Beast and Beast+. Only the two first season were localized in North America while the rest of the three seasons are remained unlocalized outside of Japan and other east Asian countries.

Overview[]
MegaMan NT Warrior is the second TV series based on the Mega Man franchise after the 1994 Mega Man animated series by Ruby-Spear, which is based on the classic Mega Man series.
Story[]

The series is about a young boy named Lan Hikari, his NetNavi MegaMan and their friends goes on an adventure to stop criminal organization such as World Three, Grave and Nebula from causing havocs among the real world and the cyberworld.
First Season (EXE)[]
The series' first season loosely adapts many story elements from the first three games of the Mega Man Battle Network series with original story elements added into the series.
At the beginning of the series, Lan Hikari and MegaMan stopped the first three members of World Three and their resepective NetNavis from causing havocs around DenTech City. Then, Lan and MegaMan stopped Mr. Higsby and NumberMan from committing their action at DenTech Academy, later the latter duos redeemed themselves and opens a chip shop. Later,, Lan and MegaMan stopped Yahoot and MagicMan from hypnotizing people in DenTech City to act like animals.
In the N1 Grand Prix story arc, Lan and his friends participate at the N1 Grand Prix event. At the end of the N1 Grand Prix story arc, after Chaud Blaze and ProtoMan won the finals, PharaohMan showed up and deletes MegaMan, much to Lan's grief. However afterwards, MegaMan returned from his deletion defeats PharaohMan with the help of ProtoMan.
At a trip to Netopia as his World Tour Prize, Lan meets Raoul and later stops Mayor Daryl from succeeding his plans. MegaMan defeats SnakeMan in a Survival Seven game held by his operator Mrs. Millionaire at Brand City. Lan challenges and defeats Count Zap at Kingland. In the final day of his World Tour Prize, Lan stops the quartets of World Three from their scheme at Namaste.
After returning to Netopia from their World Tour Prize, Lan and MegaMan defeats many members of Grave from AirMan to FreezeMan, and later MegaMan defeats the Grave VirusBeast. During the Grave arc, MegaMan also defeats other villainous Navis such as MoltanicMan and PlanetMan. In the season finale, MegaMan and his friends defeats the Life Virus that occurred during Dr. Hikari's Dimensional Area experiment.
Second Season (Axess)[]
This season borrows numerous elements from Mega Man Battle Network 3, 4 and also Network Transmission. In addition, the season introduces a type of transformation called Cross Fusion and other related concepts (e.g. Dimensional Area), which the concept is exclusive to the anime series.
At the beginning of the season, Lan and MegaMan worked together to defeat many Darkloids including SavageMan, BubbleMan, FlashMan, BowlMan, VineMan, BurnerMan, DesertMan, VideoMan and so on. During the adventures of defeating the Darkloids, MegaMan has earned many Double Souls such as Roll Soul, Torch Soul, Guts Soul, Metal Soul and Proto Soul.
In the near middle of the season, Chaud used the Dark Chip for ProtoMan during a battle against ShadeMan, thus turning him into Dark ProtoMan as a result. At the near end of the season, Dark ProtoMan has went back to being ProtoMan.
In the season finale, with using towers as Dimensional Converters from around the world and thus the Earth has been covered in a global dimensional area, Regal cross fused into C.F. LaserMan and mercilessly deletes ShadeMan during a battle with him. At the end of the finale episode, Regal was ultimately defeated by C.F. MegaMan with the help of his friends.

Third Season (Stream)[]
This season mainly adapts the story elements from Rockman EXE 3, 4, and 5.
At the beginning of the season, Netto Hikari, Rockman and their allies must fight Neo WWW and Asteroid Navis. In the middle of the season, Regal makes a return from Axess as the major antagonist, he and his fellow Darkloids attempts to collect all Crests of Duo from the Cross Fusion members in order to gain access to Duo's Comet.
Also, a movie titled Rockman EXE: Hikari to Yami no Program takes place between episode 22 and 29.
Fourth Season (Beast)[]
This season mainly adapts numerous story elements from Rockman EXE 6.
Netto Hikari and Rockman must fight against Glaga, Falzer and their army of Zoanoroid Navis. Also, the duo must tackle small-time villains such as Captain Kurohige, his partner Chirol and their respective NetNavis (i.e. DiveMan and CircusMan).
Fifth Season (Beast+)[]
The fifth and final season of the series. It adapts story elements from Rockman EXE 6, Transmission and also Phantom of Network.
In the beginning of the season, Netto and Rockman have to fight against Professor with his Navi-like creation Zero Virus and also Zero One, Phantom Navis and small-time offenders such as Satoru Roppo (JudgeMan's operator). At the near end of the series, Netto and Rockman has to fight against the series' final villain, Cache.

Trivia[]
- Yai and Dex were initially main characters in the anime series until they reduced into guess characters in later seasons. However, the two became prominent again in Beast and Beast+ season.
